লোকসাহিত্য
লোকসংস্কৃতি শব্দটির ইংরেজি পরিভাষা Folklore। ১৮৪৬ সালে লোকসংস্কৃতি বোঝাতে Popular Antiquity এবং লোকসাহিত্য বোঝাতে Popular Literaute শব্দ দুটি ইংলণ্ডে ব্যবহৃত হত।

১৯০৭ সালে মহামহোপাধ্যায় হরপ্রসাদ শাস্ত্রী নেপালের রাজগ্রন্হাগার থেকে বাংলা সাহিত্যের আদি নিদর্শন চর্যাপদ আবিষ্কার করেন এবং সে সময় থেকে বাংলা সাহিত্যের জয়যাত্রা শুরু হয়।
